Privacy Policy

This policy describes what Syllabus collects when you teach or take a course through our platform.

What we collect

From teachers: name, email, payment details for payouts, and course content you upload. From students: name, email, payment details for enrollment, and your activity within a course (lesson progress, discussion posts).

What we don't do

• We don't sell student data to advertisers or third parties.
• We don't share a student's activity in one course with another teacher.
• We don't use course content for anything beyond delivering it to enrolled students.

Payments

Enrollment payments are processed through PCI-compliant payment providers. Syllabus does not store full card numbers.

Data retention

Course and progress data is retained as long as the relevant account is active. Deleting a teacher or student account removes associated data within 30 days.

You can request access to, export of, or deletion of your data by contacting us below.
